All you inventors out there are going to love this Web site, which I just discovered in an HBS Working Knowledge e-newsletter: The Museum of Unworkable Devices, which the site’s “curator” describes as “a celebration of fascinating devices that don’t work. It houses diverse examples of the perverse genius of inventors who refused to let their thinking be intimidated by the laws of nature, remaining optimistic in the face of repeated failures.” It’s a great place to be reminded that some ideas just weren’t meant to come to life — like those that, oh, defy the laws of physics… This site is good fun and is a fascinating collection of ill-fated would-be inventions!
