New product innovation tool: The Vision Molecule

Ed de la Fuente at Planning Innovations just alerted me to a cool new visualization tool that his firm has created to help product professionals move from your organization's vision to specific strategic initiatives and measurable goals. It's called the Vision Molecule, and it utilizes a form of visual diagramming that looks much like a mind map.

Ed de la Fuente at Planning Innovations just alerted me to a cool new visualization tool that his firm has created to help product professionals move from your organization’s vision to specific strategic initiatives and measurable goals. It’s called the Vision Molecule, and it utilizes a form of visual diagramming that looks much like a mind map.

How does it work? The company’s May e-newsletter explains: “The Vision Molecule tool enables your planning lead or entire team to break down your strategic vision into multiple initiatives, along with specific goals that support them. The ‘molecule’s’ organic nature provides a flexible framework that enables a team to work more collaboratively than with a structured list.”

Complete details on The Vision Molecule, including a downloadable template, are available on the Planning Innovations website.
