I was doing a web search today to see what’s new in the world of outlining software, and was pleased to stumble across a new supplier of this type of software: PocketThinker.

PocketThinker takes a unique approach to outlining: A desktop version of the software integrates with Microsoft Outlook’s notes view, transforming it into a powerful tool for organizing all kinds of information — lists, plans and more. A Pocket PC version of PocketThinker integrates with its desktop counterpart, enabling you to keep detailed outlines sync’d between your desktop PC and your PDA. A look at the developer’s website shows that the first version of PocketThinker for Outlook was introduced in March 2004, while the Pocket PC version was launched just short of one month ago!

For all of the functionality it offers, PocketThinker is surprisingly affordable: You can pick up both the desktop and Pocket PC programs for under US$20. A downloadable trial version is also available.

I hope to review both components of PocketThinker in the near future. Watch this website for more details!
