Mark your calendars now for the 3rd annual Fortune Innovation Forum, which will be held November 29-30, 2006 in New York City. Here are some initial details, as well as a link to some free tools and resources from conference speakers like Gary Hamel.

Mark your calendars now for the 3rd annual Fortune Innovation Forum, which will be held November 29-30, 2006 in New York City. Confirmed speakers include:

  • Bradbury Anderson, chairman and CEO of Best Buy
  • Briance France, chairman and CEO of NASCAR
  • Robert Nardelli, chairman, president and CEO of Home Depot
  • Larry Huston, VP of innovation and knowledge from consumer giant Proctor & Gamble
  • Gary Hamel, visiting professor at the London Business School and author of Leading the Revolution (one of my favorite innovation books, by the way)
  • And more!

The focus of this year’s conference will be on helping you learn how to organize for, implement and measure innovation. This has been one of the fastest growing innovation conferences; I believe that over 1,000 people attended last year’s program.

Look for the blue “gear up for innovation” logo on the conference home page. If you click it, and submit your name and e-mail address, you can access some free business tools from the conference speakers and sponsors. My favorite freebie is a set of worksheets produced by Gary Hamel that help you and your team to surface deeply-held management orthodoxies – or beliefs – that may limit your creativity.

And don’t forget about Fortune’s Business Innovation Insider blog, written by the tireless Dominic Basulto. It’s a great place to stay up-to-date about the conference and learn more about its speakers. But I need to emphasize: this is not just a conference blog; it actually operates year-round, and Dominic has quickly made it into one of the best innovation-focused blogs on the web!
