In his first post to the new and improved IdeaFlow Weblog, John Wolpert from IBM explains the role of this “incubator for talent, technology and business innovation” at the firm’s Austin, TX facility. He also talks about the pros and cons of partnering with other firms to develop innovative new products and services. As he points out, most organizations are extremely reticent to “expose early insights and emerging capabilities to another legal entity without the use of a lot of lawyers and impossible-to-sign non-disclosure agreements.” It sounds like John is going to provide some valuable insights into innovation management and practices!
